Family Fun

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

This week has been crazy Chayden is here from California and we have crammed so much into a week trying to give him the best Utah Christmas experience. I wish he could be here longer, we miss him so much! (I’ll link the boy’s outfits at the bottom of this post.)

Monday started out with me being Santa’s Elf at Valley Fair Mall. When I’m not mommy-ing or blogging I manage a Character Company here in Salt Lake. Called Regal Characters. This month I am Santa’s Elf. If you get a chance you should definitely stop by West Valley and come visit with Santa he even does magic. The kids really enjoy him.

Tuesday we did a Mock Christmas morning with Chayden since he won’t be here for actual Christmas morning. He got a lot of gifts but he was most excited about the airsoft gun he had been wanting! We finished off that day with a trip to Temple Square and Grand America. Two of my favorite Christmas activities. If you come to Utah during Christmas a must to see is the giant Gingerbread house at Grand America Hotel. It’s all made and baked right there in the bakery of the hotel. It is really a sight to see.

Wednesday was a very busy day we got a chance to go to The Children’s Discovery Museum the boys had the best time . The have so many fun sections for kids and adults of all ages. All in one day they were construction workers , grocery clerks, weather men, on stage and mechanics. There was even a giant Light Bright. Right before they closed, Carson brought me over to the display where he and my boyfriend spelled out, “I ❤️U.” Did I mention he’s the best? This museum kept us busy for hours. Best part is it wasn’t over crowded. We had such a great time.

After that we headed to South Jordan for the Christmas in Color light show and, let me tell you, it was amazing! Chayden was very impressed we had seen a lot of Christmas lights displays back in California but nothing comes close to this.  The boys loved the colored light tunnels and watching the lights dance to the music. I’m going to attach some photos but it’s definitely something you have to see in person to grasp the full beauty. The display happens until the end of the month. So hurry and visit to get tickets. It will sell out!
